This weekend is going to be fun. I have a few projects that I plan on working on and can't wait to finish.
First project:
I have this Lane cedar chest that was given to me after my mom passed away. It's a lovely piece of furniture, but not quite my style. I am re-sanding, re-staining a dark cocoa bean color and adding glass knob hardware. I am really excited about how it will turn out.
What it looks like before:
I will post the after photo's hopefully this weekend.
I am also re-staining this beautiful Ethan Allen chair my parents were generous enough to give me and I am finding a seat cushion to attach. I will also post pics when complete.
I have been so busy with my real estate class, but I am finished now. I have one more test to take and then I will be a licensed real estate agent in SC.
So David and I have been slowly working on the house, and started on the bathroom first. Here is an idea board of what the bathroom will look like, and hopefully later this week I will be posting pictures.
Check back later for pictures of the bathroom.
This time, this one was created by Nestie Brynalexandra for our guest bedroom. I love it. I am going this weekend to look for lamp of that kind.
I just had to post my favorite things I am loving this week, in an ode to Spring and Summer approaching here they are:
Some ladies at work and I have decided to do our own weight loss challenge. We are weighing in together every Monday, keeping track of what we eat, eating healthy low fat, low carb, lean protein foods, and we are planning on walking together 2 days a week. The rest of the week excercise is up to us.
We have each set up a short term goal to reach: Mine is to lose 12-15 lbs. by June 28th. If ALL three of us meet our goals, we are treating ourselves to a pedicure and manicure.
I am really excited to have support, especially from 2 ladies I see everyday. Hopefully this will keep us all on track and help us meet our goals.
